Confucius Institute at Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi, Hosts Seminar on Chinese Language Education in Central and Western Thailand

The Confucius Institute at Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi, organized a seminar on Chinese language education in Central and Western Thailand. Dr. Phantharak Phookphan, Assistant to the President and Director of the Confucius Institute at Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi (Thailand side), delivered the opening remarks to welcome participants.

The event featured a lecture on “Development and Transformation of International Chinese Education in the Digital Era” by Asst. Prof. LYU XIA from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Guangxi University. Participants engaged in discussions and experience-sharing sessions.

A ceremony was also held to present certificates of recognition to six educational institutions with the highest number of applicants for Chinese proficiency tests (HSK, KSKK, and YCT). Souvenirs were presented, followed by group photos.

The program included training for Thai Chinese language teachers, featuring a lecture on “Techniques for Teaching Chinese” by Ms. Qin Xinzi, Lecturer from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Guangxi University. Other activities included a Chinese language teaching competition for Thai teachers, with a final round showcasing teaching skills, and a general knowledge competition on Chinese culture.

The seminar and activities took place on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Phuang Ngoen Conference Room, Chancharoen Building, Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi Campus.
